Import Permit for Planting Material
Description:
"Planting material" includes any tree, shrub, vine, cutting graft, scion, bud, bulb), root, seed, and any other plant part capable of propagation. The purpose of the permit is to safeguard the island's agricultural sector from diseases and pests.

Process:
The completed Import License application form is to be submitted to the Crop Protection unit together with a Plant-Health (Phytosanitary) certificate from the country of origin
On approval, the applicant will pay the requisite fee, and the permit will be issued
Requirements:
The Import Permit and Phytosanitary certificate must be produced at port of entry of the planting material. In some cases (for example in the case of import of lumber), a Fumigation Certificate is required from the country of origin to indicate that the planting material has been fumigated prio
