UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA 2025 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS) and The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in the United States have decided to support outstanding individuals from the Americas by awarding the following academic scholarships to continue their studies.

In addition to the tuition reduction listed above, OAS students will qualify for a waiver of the application fee, airport pick-up fee, and orientation fee (total waived fees: $325). OAS students will have access to extracurricular activities, including field trips, social and cultural activities, service learning opportunities, the Conversation Partners programme, host families, and community visits, at NO COST.
Applicants can also be considered for other university competitive scholarships beyond those listed below if they apply and qualify.
The OAS will provide a one-time allowance of USD 2,000 to support tuition for selected scholarship recipients. Scholarship benefits are subject to the recipient's academic performance and the availability of funds

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Complete an application for admission at intladm.uni.edu/apply and submit all supporting documents. Graduate and certificate studies require the submission of academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency, and programme-specific requirements. More information on the CIEP application can be found at ciep.uni.edu. All programmes require students to submit the Financial Guarantee before receiving immigration documents.
University admission and scholarship application priority deadline: Spring 2025: November 5, 2024.
EXPENSES NOT COVERED BY THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Expenses not covered by this scholarship, falling under the sole responsibility of the scholarship recipients, are as follows:
- remaining tuition and fee costs
- housing costs
- meal plans
- round-trip airfare
- health insurance fees
- books and study materials
- any additional charges not expressly covered by the OAS-UNI PAEC Scholarship
Applicants can also apply for the Rowe Fund, an OAS educational loan programme that helps citizens from Latin America and the Caribbean finance their studies in accredited universities across the United States by awarding interest-free loans of up to USD 15,000.
