GOVERNMENT OF SAINT LUCIA –UNI  PASS GRANT 2024

 

In keeping with the Government of Saint Lucia’s philosophy of one university graduate per household,  the Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training has launched the University Programme for Advancing Student Success (UNI PASS) Initiative. 

 

The UNIPASS initiative seeks to offer a one-time subvention to students who require additional funding to meet costs associated with their university studies leading to a Bachelor’s Degree.

 

The objectives of the UNI PASS Grant are to:

 

  • Lower the cost to the student, for the attainment of a university education

 

  • Increase the number of students who can independently access tertiary level education

 

  • Ease the financial burden placed on students attending university

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

The following terms and conditions will apply to recipients of the UNI PASS Grant:

 

  1. The award of financial assistance shall be in the form of an Education Grant

 

  1. The successful applicant agrees to volunteer their services in the areas of social and economic development.  (The number of service hours and period of voluntary service will be determined by the Selection Committee)

  • Books

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

In order to be eligible for consideration for financial assistance under the UNI PASS, an applicant must:

 

  1. Present evidence in support of funding requirement
  2. Provide proof of financial need
  3. Provide proof of registration (Letter of admission from educational institution)
  4. Not be in receipt of any other financial assistance from the Government of Saint Lucia
  5. Provide proof that other related educational costs are covered

 

APPLICATION PROCESS

 

Applicants must complete the UNI PASS application form https://tinyurl.com/unipasschol and submit to the Human Resource Development Unit at the Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training, 4th Floor, Francis Compton Bldg., Waterfront, Castries,  along with the following attachments:

 

  1. Proof of registration (Letter of admission from educational institution)
  2. Official copies of transcripts for all completed semesters (where necessary)
  3. Proof of citizenship
  4. Completed Statement of Financial Need https://tinyurl.com/fineeds
  5. Documentary evidence indicating the amount needed to be financed

 

The deadline for submission of applications is no later than Friday, August 30, 2024
