BRITISH CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2024/2025

The Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training wishes to inform that the British High Commission has announced the opening of the British Chevening scholarship scheme for the academic year 2024/2025.  Applications are now being accepted online from St. Lucian nationals who wish to pursue fully funded postgraduate studies at academic institutions in the United Kingdom.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

The Applicant Must:

  • be a citizen of Saint Lucia and should not be a British Citizen (although dual nationals will be considered on a case by case basis);
  • return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended;
  • have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK;
  • have at least two years work experience (this may be up to five years for fellowship programmes, so please refer to your country page for further details);
  • apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the deadline for the scholarship application year;
  • not have previously studied in the UK under a UK Government-funded Scholarship.
