CALL FOR 2024 OAS -THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE,
KNOXVILLE, SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS) and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in the United States have decided to support outstanding individuals from the Americas by awarding the following academic scholarships to continue their studies.

BENEFITS

- The University of Tennessee, Knoxville:

- Waiver for the application fee.
- Applicants may also be eligible for the International Volunteer or International Tennessee Explore Scholarships if they meet the additional scholarship waiver stipulated at https://onestop.utk.edu/schoIarshios/first-vear/. When combined with OAS funding, limits apply.
- Applicants are considered for competitive scholarships if they apply by
the November 1st deadline.
- The OAS will provide a one-time supplementary amount of USD 4,000 to
support tuition for scholarship recipients.

Scholarship benefits are subject to the academic performance of the scholarship recipient and
subject to the availability of funds. To receive these benefits, the scholarship recipient must not be
reported with an unsatisfactory academic performance due to absences or failing courses.

CONSIDERATION FOR THE OAS-UT SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants interested in the OAS-UT Scholarship must first be admitted to or currently attending the University of Tennessee. To begin the admission process please visit the https://admissions.utk.edu/undergraduate-application/international-students/. Upon admission to UT, the applicant will automatically be considered as a candidate for the OAS-UT scholarship.

EXPENSES NOT COVERED BY THIS SCHOLARSHIP
Expenses not covered by this scholarship, falling under the sole responsibility of the
scholarship recipients, are as follows:
- remaining tuition cost;
- application fees;
- housing costs;
- meal plans;
- round trip airfare;
f} health insurance fees;
- books and study materials;
- orientation fees; and
- any additional charges not expressly covered by the OAS-UT PAEC Scholarship.
Applicants can also apply for the Rowe Fund at OAS :: Leo S. Rowe Pan American Fund, which is an educational loan programme of the OAS that helps citizens from Latin America and the Caribbean to finance their studies in accredited universities across the United States by awarding interest-free loans of up to US$15,000 dollars.
