1ST GENERATION FULL SCHOLARSHIPS - MONROE COLLEGE 2024/2025
The Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training invites suitably qualified persons to submit applications for the 1st Generation Full Scholarships-Monroe College to pursue Bachelor’s Degrees for the academic year 2024/2025.
Fifty (50) applicants will receive full scholarships; one hundred percent (100%) waiver of tuition fees and books. These awards are applicable ONLY to new students commencing studies in the enrolment year of September 2024.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for an award, applicants must:
- be citizens of Saint Lucia – proof of citizenship must be submitted;
- be 1st Generation (first in the family to receive a university education);
- complete the Department of Education’s scholarship application form;
- be accepted to Monroe College for the September 2024 intake; and
- be in financial need (Financial Needs Assessment form must be completed).
Application Process
Please note that applications are done online ONLY via the Department of Education’s scholarship website portal: http://scholarships.education.gov.lc/ Applicants must first register on the aforementioned portal before filling out application.

- Complete the Online Application, and upload the required documents to your online application.
- After submitting the online application, you will receive a confirmation email.

- Verified copies of Academic, Professional and Technical Certificates (Verified by the Department of Education);
- Letter of Admission to Institution;
- Copy of Birth Certificate;
- Two (2) Letters of Recommendation;
- Cover Minute from Permanent Secretary/Head of Department, endorsing the request for Training (For Public Service Employees only);

Please note that incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and not be considered.
