WASCO FACILITATES READY ACCESS TO COVID-19 VACCINE FOR EMPLOYEES.
The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO, as a responsible corporate citizen supports the Ministry of Health and Wellness in the vaccination drive against COVID-19.
The effort which was spearheaded by the Health and Safety Office and the Human Resources Department has resulted in the ready access to the first round of the COVID-19 vaccine to staff across the organization.
The move was initiated in light of the busy work schedules of employees within the various departments and make access readily available to all who wish to get vaccinated. WASCO notes the improvements in the COVID-19 numbers recorded by the Ministry of Health and we want to play our part in the continuing the downward trend.
Starting with the company’s headquarters in Castries, an inoculation booth has been set up to facilitate the administering of the shot by personnel from the Ministry of Health to staff. Initially over 60 employees pre-registered for the inoculation drive, with more team members joining in by end of day.
The vaccination effort will move to our southern services department on April 20, 2021 from 10 a.m. to facilitate inoculation of more employees.
WASCO wishes to stress to its employees that administration of the vaccine is not mandatory and that they can register at their discretion.
