Due to heavy rainfall, three major Independence Day events have been relocated to ensure the safety of the public.

The annual Independence Military Parade will now take place at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, at 10 a.m., while the Independence Celebratory Rally and the Saint Lucia All-Stars Independence Showcase will be held at the Vigie Playing Field. The rally will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the showcase at 4 p.m.

Despite these venue changes, the Independence Standing Committee has assured that the production of these events will maintain their usual quality standards.

All events will be streamed live on @758independence, @eventssaintlucia, and @SaintLuciaGovernment.

Saint Lucians at home and abroad are encouraged to participate in commemorating the nation's 46th Independence Anniversary under the theme: “Douvan Ansanm; Health and Well-Being for a Prosperous Nation.”
