THE LIQUOR BAN WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR 21 DAYS.

Slight changes have been announced to Saint Lucia’s COVID-19 Prevention and Control physical distancing regulations.

Following a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers on Jan. 18, and the National Emergency Management Advisory Council on Jan. 19, COVID-19 protocols were amended on the advice of the Command Centre and Ministry of Health.

While the protocols in the main remain unchanged, restrictions on the sale of alcohol have been instituted. The sale of alcohol is not permitted at supermarkets, shops, mini-marts, bars, gas stations and restaurants.

The amendments come into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 20, and will remain in effect for 21 days.
