THE BRIEFING FOLLOWS THE THIRD OFFICIAL MEETING OF THE MINISTERIAL TASK FORCE ON TARIFFS.
The Government of Saint Lucia, through the Joint Ministerial Task Force established to monitor and evaluate recent changes in the United States’ trade policy, invites members of the media to a press briefing following its third official meeting held on Tuesday, April 15, which focused on the government's strategic response and emerging recommendations to mitigate any potential fallout resulting from the newly-imposed US tariffs.

Trade Advisor in the Ministry of Commerce, Dr. Thomas Samuel, and Director of International Trade, Mr. Ricky Jn. Baptiste, will provide a brief overview of Saint Lucia’s trading position within a global and regional context, with a focus on the possible implications for local businesses, consumers, and the wider economy.

The briefing will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 10 a.m. in the conference Room of the Ministry of External Affairs at Baywalk in Rodney Bay. The media is encouraged to attend this briefing as it will provide valuable insights into Saint Lucia’s coordinated approach to safeguarding economic stability.
