THIS IS THE ATHLETE’S FIRST VISIT SINCE ANNOUNCING HER RETIREMENT.
Levern Spencer, Saint Lucia and the region’s premiere high jumper, arrived in Saint Lucia on June 22—her first visit since her retirement in October 2021. Spencer, the island’s most decorated athlete, has been flying the Saint Lucian flag internationally for almost two decades. She was met at the airport by officials from the Ministry of Sports, family, and community members.
On Thursday, June 23 which coincidentally is her birthday, she is expected to meet and greet all the schools in her home community of Babonneau.
She will do so in the following order:
- 9:10am Balata Primary
- 9:30am Fond Assau Primary
- 10:00am Des barras Primary
- 10:40 Boguis Primary
- 11 00 Laguerre Primary
- 11:40 Babonneau Secondary
- 12:00 Noon Babonneau Primary
A closing ceremony will be held on the grounds of the Babonneau Primary school, her alma mater.
