The exercise will enable officers to provide a high standard of professional service.

The Ministry of Tourism, Heritage and Creative Industries is collaborating with the Royal St. Lucia Police Force to conduct a Customer Service Training exercise specific to Law Enforcement.

The aim is to equip 40 law enforcement officers with the skill set necessary to provide professional service with a high standard of excellence.

To this end, the tourism ministry will be hosting two training workshops during the month of September. The workshops are geared towards capacity building and training in specific areas.

The Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Saint Lucia Tourist Board and the Saint Lucia Hotel Association will also be providing training to owners and operators of small properties.

The training sessions will be conducted for two days every quarter for a period of one year. This initiative is expected to build the necessary competitive advantage which will allow small properties to advance within the sector.
