THE RENOVATIONS WILL IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY, AND RESILIENCE OF INFRASTRUCTURE.
Several schools on the island are currently receiving major upgrades to their infrastructure, as part of government's multi-million dollar infrastructural programme.
These schools include the TVET School of Sustainable Agriculture and Culinary Arts (formerly the Grand Riviere Secondary), Patience Early Childhood Development Centre, Pierrot Combined, Plain View Combined, Entrepot secondary, and the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College's southern Campus.
Minister for Education, Hon. Shawn Edward and Director of Works Mr. Hubert Hart Friday visited these schools to access the progress of ongoing works, ahead of the closing of the second term of the 2024/2025 academic year.
Minister for Education Hon. Shawn Edward has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work exhibited in ongoing school rehabilitation and construction projects at five institutions islandwide.
The changes are expected to improve resilience while ensuring classrooms are accessible to all.
