MS. NELSON IS ONE OF TWO FEMALE COUNSELS IN SAINT LUCIA TO BE ELEVATED TO THE RANK OF KING’S COUNSEL.
The Women’s Parliamentary Caucus of Saint Lucia is proud to celebrate the appointment of Ms. Edith Petra Jeffrey Nelson as King’s Counsel—a distinguished honor bestowed in recognition of her exemplary service, outstanding advocacy, and unwavering commitment to justice.
This historic appointment marks two significant milestones: Ms. Nelson is one of two female counsels in Saint Lucia to be elevated to the rank of King’s Counsel, and also the first female to receive the honour under the reign of His Majesty King Charles III.
With more than three decades of distinguished legal practice, Ms Nelson has earned widespread respect and admiration from colleagues, judges, and clients alike. Renowned for her sharp legal intellect, courtroom eloquence, and dedication to the principles of justice, she has consistently upheld the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
