RENOVATION WORK ADVANCES ON THE NEW HOTEL DEVELOPMENT ON MOUNT PIMARD IN RODNEY BAY.
Construction work is well underway on A’ila Resorts, a multi-concept hotel development on Mount Pimard in Rodney Bay, with construction to be completed in several phases. The first component to be completed is the resort’s wellness offering managed by The LifeCo., a holistic well-being center that offers natural treatment and therapy programs.
Richard Moss, Director of Global Sales at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, spoke of the symbiotic relationship between The LifeCo. and Saint Lucia.
“A’ila and The LifeCo. are a really good fit for Saint Lucia. We already live quite natural lifestyles here, that are ingrained in the DNA of Saint Lucians, and we aim to share that with the world,” he said.
Public Relations Representative for A’ila Resorts in Saint Lucia, Ms. Candy Nicholas, said the wellness retreat is the perfect complement to Saint Lucia’s natural way of life.
“A’ila Resorts is a US$1.3 billion multi-concept development and the first phase of the development which we hope to complete by the summer of this year is The LifeCo., the hotel’s wellness offering. We are super excited to welcome The LifeCo. to this part of the world. The company manages three resort destinations, two in Turkey and the other in Thailand. This is their first foray into this part of the world and we are eager to couple their wellness programs with the natural healing that Saint Lucia already offers.”
Following the completion of the wellness division, Ms. Nicholas says the family resort and private residences, already under construction, will be introduced in 2026 and 2027 respectively.
“While we prepare to roll out the wellness component in the summer of this year, we’re working on other aspects,” she said. “There will be a family oriented section, an adults only division, retail spaces and a conference facility that will hold over 2000 people. The family oriented spaces will be opened by next year, and construction is ongoing on the private residences, which are expected to be completed by 2027.”
Zenith, the state-of-the-art conference centre, will provide the opportunity for Saint Lucia to capitalize on MICE tourism, a niche business market for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
