TED SANDIFORD WILL BE FIFTH GUEST LECTURER, AND THE FIRST FOR THE 2018/2019 ACADEMIC YEAR.
The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) will resume its ground breaking lecture series on Wednesday, Oct. 10, with the prolific Ted Sandiford serving as its fifth guest lecturer.
The “Uprising: Illumination Lecture Series” began in February 2018 to encourage research and to provide a platform for experts in varied fields to share their knowledge and expertise with the wider community. This is the first in the monthly lectures for the academic year 2018-2019.
Ted Sandiford is a recent graduate of the Arts Institute of Pittsburgh where he studied Media Arts and Animation. He is a visual arts teacher and founder of A.C.I.D Kreationz, a media arts and animation company geared at providing services such as 2D and 3D animation, graphic design, caricature, digital portraits, photo editing and acrylic painting. He will present on the topic "Home Have! The Rise or Fall of Art and Animation in the Caribbean."
The lectures will be streamed LIVE via social media and video on demand at http:salcctv.org.
The public is invited to attend the lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the SALCC Library Reading Room (CEHI Room 1), Morne Campus.
