Civic and Voter Education Coordinator at the Electoral Department, Alymphia Lionel, has announced that nomination day will be Saturday, May 28.

Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony previously announced during a national address last week, that preceding the general election, nomination day will be on Friday, May 27.

"There is a change," Lionel said. "Nomination day is now Saturday, May 28, and between the hours of 9 a.m. to noon, persons can go to do their nominations at the various electoral districts at the office of the returning officers. We will be sending notices out to say exactly where those offices are located."

Lionel said the past weekend’s voter registration exercise met the Electoral Department’s approval. 

"It went as planned. We extended our hours on Sunday to accommodate persons with the registration."

The final voters list is expected to be published on Monday, May 30.
