The newly appointed Cabinet Secretary Benjamin Emmanuel encourages Saint Lucians, in both the public and private sectors, to cooperate for the benefit of the country.

With most of his professional years spent as a public servant, having served in positions such as Community Development Officer, the Director of Youth and Sports, the Director of SEDU, the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, and the Permanent Secretary in both the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Communications and Works, Mr Emmanuel said he is in a unique position to understand the public/private sector dynamic.

He also revealed that since his warm return to the service, he observed that while the bureaucracy of the machine is established, there are a few different aspects. Benjamin Emmanuel was appointed as Cabinet Secretary in June 2017.
