Export Saint Lucia has been assisting local farmers with the enhancement of their products and securing additional markets.

Canelle Farms, one of the most recent beneficiaries, received an order for bananas to Barbados which was initiated during the Barbados Manufacturers Exhibition (BMEX).

Managing Director of Canelle Farms, Nicholas Faisal, one of the foremost exporters of agricultural produce in Saint Lucia, said that Export Saint Lucia is collaborating with Canelle Farms to create an association of exporters to be able to better leverage the opportunities provided by Export Saint Lucia.

Approximately 1400 cases of bananas, 160 boxes of plantains and 1000 dry coconuts was exported to Barbados.
